Childrens classes are geared towards teaching children good life skills, confidence and basic self defence attributes rather than techniques which are taught when the children reach some degree of maturity and understanding.

Functional Kenpo is a system based around the Ed Parker system but has been streamlined and decluttered by removing the forms and streamlining and adapting the core techniques in an effort to make the student more creative and develop their own instinctive reaction. Core concepts are maintained at all times and we continually move our training forward with an open minded approach to our instruction.
We regularly invite high profile Guest Instructors to Somerset to enable both the Instructors and students to discover other arts and concepts that may enhance or aid their development what ever their standard.
